KANCHANPUR: A seven-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a motorcycle with the Indian number plate (UK 03 1921)  in Gobariya of Bhimdattanagar Municipality-15 in Kanchanpur district on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as local Bibek Nath. He had sustained deep injuries in the head and mouth in the accident.

He breathed his last during the course of treatment at a local hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, the search is on for the motorcyclist who fled the scene, police said.
