The grade nine students here are worried by the shortage of their text books. Students have to travel to the district headquarters Besisahar, Bhoteodar, and Khudi to get their copies of text books but the books are in short supply there as well.

Geeta Gurung of Baglungpani, Kapurgaun, said, “I am in the district headquarters to buy textbooks. Surprisingly, they are not available in any bookstore.”

A teacher of the Jana Bikas Higher Secondary School, Besisahar, Dharma Raj Goli, said many of the 173 students in grade nine had no new textbook.
