RAUTAHAT:  More than 300 people are staging a sit-in protest on the premises of District Administration Office (DAO) in Gaur, headquarters of Rautahat district on Friday.

Nepal Police on Thursday midnight had raided the house of Rajaram Yadav of Mudabalwa VDC-6 of the district without any reason.

Following the raid, the local people have gathered in the district headquarters and organised the protest chanting slogans against the act of police from 1 pm today.

United Democratic Madheis Front (UDMF) has also extended the support to the protest.
