Sitaula calls Madhesi parties for dialogue

HETAUNDA: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula called on agitating Tarai-Madhes-based political parties and its cadres for dialogue, here in Hetaunda of Makawapur district.

Speaking at a press conference organised by Nepal Press Union on Saturday, Sitaula said that the agitation in no man's land against own nation is not good.

The opposition party will support the incumbent government to solve the problem of embargo imposed by India at Nepal-India border points, stated the NC General Secretary.

"The government must solve the problems through political and diplomatic channels as soon as possible. As the blockade imposed by the neighbouring country India has more adverse impacts on the people than by the April 25 earthquake and its aftershocks," informed Sitaula.

He further said that the interference of India in Nepal's internal affairs created the problem, so the relation with India should start in a new way.

While maintaining its independence and sovereignty, Nepal needed to have good relations with both neighbours, he stressed.
