Six arrested

Kathmandu, June 2 :

Police today arrested six persons — five staffers of the Yak and Yeti Hotel and a commoner — on charge of demolishing a wall at Durbarmarg this afternoon.

According to police, those arrested are Bidur Dahal, Ratan Nagarkoti, Nabin Subba, Gopal Kari and Krishna Bhakta Maharajan of Yak and Yeti Hotel and Shanker Shrestha, a local.

Shibaram Thapa, president of Corporate Office of the Hotel, said the hotel staffers were not involved in the demolition act but were returning from the site after witnessing the incident there.

Residents here said that a local errected the wall on the road to block the road named Paryatan Marga and that they had been paying tax to use the road.
