Six killed, dozens injured in separate accidents

Six persons were killed and 35 others injured in separate road accidents in various parts of the country in the last three days.
One person died and 31 others were injured when two commuters buses collided with each other at Malinga of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading, along Prithvi Highway today morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar Mahato, a bus headed for Kathmandu from Narayangadh had collided with another bus en route to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Critically injured Ishwor Bhandari, 40, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Gajuri Hospital.
Of the injured, eighteen are being treated at Rajmarga Community Hospital, Malekhu, while 13 are receiving treatment at Gajuri Primary Health Centre.
Three persons were killed when a taxi and pick up van hit with each other at Bhamara bridge of Nijgadh Municipality-9, Bara, along the east-west highway on Friday night.
Two persons traveling in the taxi died on the spot while one breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital, according to District Traffic Police Office, Bara.
The deceased have been identified as taxi driver Samundra Shrestha, 29, Bishal Majhi, 25, and Aakash Majhi, 25. Naresh Majhi, 28, and Arjin
Majhi, 21, were critically injured in the incident, said Inspector Bikash Bam. “The injured have been sent to Chitwan’s Bharatpur for treatment,” said Inspector Bam. Police have arrested the pick up driver and launched an investigation into the incident.
Similarly, a woman died after falling from the door of a moving bus at Rimnabazaar of Jaishibheri Municiplaity-1, Jajarkot, on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Tara Jaishi, 25. Jaishi died while trying to get off the bus, police said. Police have arrested the bus driver and seized the bus.
One person died and two others were injured in a jeep accident in Diktel, the district headquarters of Khotang, on Wednesday.
Dipak Rasaili, 41, died when the bus headed for Diktel bazaar from Baksila of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality met with the accident near district prison office.
Critically injured Rasaili breathed his last while being rushed to hospital for treatment. Critically injured Furba Sherpa, 19, and Ramesh Magar, 23, have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment, police said.
