SLC Day-III exam peaceful

Kathmandu, April 6:

The third day of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations went smoothly throughout the nation today. The students wrote the social studies’ paper.

Rumours of leakage of questions — of social studies and optional mathematics — made the rounds, though. Sunder Shakya, the deputy controller at the Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), said no major incidents had been reported.

In Nawalparasi, today’s paper of Social Studies of the SLC conducted in the Pawan Secondary School, Nawalparasi, has been postponed after rioting took place when Yam Shrestha of the Brihaspati Coaching Centre, Butwal, tried to help examinees by passing chits.

It has been decided to hold the postponed examination on April 13, Chief District Officer Govinda Khanal said. Police has taken Shrestha under control.
