People are thronging Fungling for the glimpse of a boy who has a snake rolled around neck for the past four days.

They believe the boy is a reincarnation of Lord Shiva as he has a snake rolled around his neck.

A snake got hold of Lasihang Thebe, 14, of Fungling VDC-4 in Taplejung district, at Nigijung where he had gone to pick mangoes four days ago. The snake would neither let go of the boy nor cause him any harm.

Lasihang said he shouted for help after the snake encompassed his neck but later realised that it was not causing him any harm and returned home. Since then thousands of people have come to see him. Jamuna Poudel, 71, who traveled all the way from Dharan of Sunsari said he wanted to see the boy because he considered him to be a reincarnation of Lord Shiva.

Lasihang, a sixth grader, says he feeds the snake with cow milk and fruits.
