Snowfall grips Humla, transportation disrupted

HUMLA: Snowfall in Humla since Sunday night has increasingly affected normal life of the himalayan district. With the temperature dropping below minus 15, locals are finding it hard to go outside their homes.

As the snowfall continues, district headquarters Simkot has witnessed snow measuring one foot while villages north of Simkot has witnessed snow measuring two feet.

Continuous snowfall caused temperature-dip in the northern belt of the district including Limi, Muchu, Khagalgaun, Syanda, Hepka and Bargaun.

The snowfall has also caused disruption in regular transport operation in the district.
