BAGLUNG: A social worker Hemraj Sharma Paudel, who spent his life contributing to social reforms, died on Tuesday evening. He was 86.

Paudel was suffering from various age-related health problems. He died in the course of treatment at Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

His last rites were performed on the bank of Kaligandaki River on Wednesday.

Member of Legislature-Parliament Prakash Sharma Paudel and Chief of Baglung Municipality Janak Poudyal among others had extended their last tribute to Paudel.

Paudel was born in 1989 BS at Painyupata in Baglung Municipality-12 in Baglung. He was also associated with Nepali Congress in 2036 BS.

He was honoured with Gorkha Dakshina Bahu Award. Paudel is survived by a wife and two sons.
