CHITWAN: A man in drunken stupor allegedly killed his father in Chitwan district on Saturday.

Binod Prasad Sapkota, who was under the influence of alcohol, fatally attacked his father Basanta Prasad Sapkota (61) with a khukuri over a family dispute yesterday evening, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.

Critically injured in the incident, Basanta was rushed to the Chitwan Medical College where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, police said.

Police said that they have arrested Binod for investigation.
