Special security arrangement for Tanahaun locals for upcoming festivals
DAMAULI: Police have arranged a special security arrangement in Tanahaun district to avoid any untoward incident in the upcoming festivals of Dipawali and Chhath.
Police said the arrangement is made to control the unwanted quarrels, thefts and burglaries in the district.
District Police Office, Tanahaun said police have mobilised their patrol teams till late nights while an emergency task force has been kept at the alert position.
SP Krishna Kumar Mahat said the police patrol teams are mobilised along the Prithvi Highway and in major places of the district.
He further said police have been making people aware about security challenges during the festivals in the district.
Mahat said police have also intensified security check-up to stop anyone from importing the firecrackers for the Dipawali festival and to discourage people from playing cards.
Police have appealed to the general public to maintain a high alert and promptly inform the police about any untoward incident and if any suspicious person is seen in the surrounding areas.
District Traffic Police In-charge Om Prakash Paudel has warned the transport entrepreneurs not to fleece the passengers citing fuel crisis and overload people on roofs of vehicles.
Paudel further warned that any one violating the rules and regulation would face the music.
