Delivery of health services at District Health Office, Khotang, has been badly affected as many staffers are yet to return to work.

Rupakot Majhuwagadi Municipality Mayor Deep Narayan Rijal said a monitoring team led by himself found that some of the staffers were away from work without information.

According to the office, lab in-charge Ujjwal Tiwari has not reported to work yet. He has been on leave since September 23. Sanam Siwakoti, health assistant at the OPD has remained absent for the past one month. He was supposed to report to work on October 10. Also, Sita Sah, staff nurse at the IPD of the health facility has not come to office even three days after her leave got over. “I have directed the office chief to take action against the absent employees,” said Rijal.
