JANAKPURDHAM:  Employees of Broader Janakpur Area Development Council have resorted to  agitation, putting forward a number of demands, including removal of  council executive director Umesh Yadav from the post.

Besides Yadav’s  ouster, their six-point demand includes amendment of the council’s rules  and acts, promotion of eligible staffers and appointment of the council  director by the government, among others.

Staging a sit-in on the  premises of the office on Monday, they warned they would halt all work  at the office until their demands were met.

They have also accused the  incumbent director Yadav of lining his pocket and picking a quarrel over  the same issue with traders and entrepreneurs.

They have also blamed Yadav  of not providing them timely stipend.
