Rautahat, June 2:

CPN (UML) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal said today that the seven political parties will put an end to agitation only after ‘deactivating’ the active monarchy and restoring democracy in the country. Speaking at a press meet in Rautahat, Nepal said democratic forces should move ahead with a zeal for restoring democracy. He said the King’s reign had failed to bring about any changes in the country. He appealed to all forces to help make the agitation launched by parties vigorous and result-oriented. Nepal, who later addressed zonal-level cadres in Birgunj, said he was unaware of the purpose of UML leader Bam Dev Gautam’s

visit to Lucknow.
