Kathmandu, March 13:
Students of FW Taylor college of Management today demanded immediate end of strikes saying such forced closures of educational institutes would badly affect the educational development of the nation.
They urged the striking parties to resort to other peaceful means to pressurise the government on their demands. They were speaking at a discussion on Strike and its Impact on Academic Institution organised by the college, today.
A student Bikaram Pathak expressing serious concern over the ongoing strikes said, "it is very sad to force closure of schools in the land of Gautama Buddha." Another student Umesh Pokharel said that it was very sad to see the teachers forcing closure of schools and boycotting classes.
An eleven class student Badri Chaulagain however, was of the view that strikes were necessary to force government to look
into the demands of such protestors but, "they should not be said based on personal interests and must be in favour of majority of people".
