Sujata floats Nepal’s role in world arena

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala arrived in Kathmandu today. Minister Koirala was in the United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly.

On arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport,Koirala told media persons that the participation of Nepal in the UNGA was quite successful.

In the sidelines of the UNGA, she had talks with world leaders on issues ranhing from constitution drafting to economic development of Nepal. “We also held talks with the US senators about availing subsidy quotas for Nepali products in the US market,” she said.

Meanwhile, ministerial level meeting at the assembly declared Nepal, the chair of the group of 49 Least Developed Countries. Koirala further said that Nepal would strive to make the forum more effective.
