BUTWAL: Politburo member of United CPN-Maoists Devendra Poudel ‘Sunil’ on Friday warned of seizure of the state power should the constitution not be drafted in favour of the people.

Sunil made the statement while addressing a programme organised by the Maoists affiliated trade union on the occasion of 120th May Day. “We are devoted to drafting the constitution in favour of the people and if obstructed, we have no option other than to seize the state power,” Sunil warned.

“We are ready to sacrifice our lives in Singhadurbar if it benefits the people,” he added.
