MAHOTTARI: Nepali Congress acting president Sushil Koirala said that the UCPN-Maoist violated the CPA by declaring the autonomous states unilaterally.

Speaking at an inaugural function of training of Nepal Students Union in Jaleswor today Koirala said, “The Maoists are trying to push the country into conflict by going against the earlier agreement,’’ adding, “Seizing private and government land is against the agreement and conflict is unavoidable if the Maoists continued their anarchic activities.”

Furthermore, he urged the UN to stop such activities of the Maoists. If the UN turned a mute spectator, an ethnic conflict was inevitable, he added.
