Sushil Koirala Prakhar Cancer Hospital starts OPD service

KHAJURA, BANKE: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, inaugurated the out-patient department (OPD) at Sushil Koirala Prakhar Cancer Hospital here today.

Addressing the function, DPM and Health Minister Yadav said the hospital had a big role to play in cancer treatment in the region.

He expressed commitment on behalf of the government to take special initiatives for infrastructure development and making the hospital well-equipped for expanding its services as the hospital had already come under government ownership.

DPM Yadav also urged the hospital staff to be committed towards providing the best service possible.

Likewise, Minister for Urban Development, Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai pledged maximum support on behalf of his ministry to developing the hospital as a model hospital in the entire region. He stressed the need for providing services which would especially benefit the poor and underprivileged.

Chair of the Hospital Development Board Kismat Kumar Kakshapati, Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population Pushpa Thakur, lawmakers Maheshwar Gahatraj and Nanda Lal Rokaya, former Deputy Speaker and lawmaker Purna Subedi, among others gave information on various aspects of the hospital.
