DAMAULI:  As many as 21 passengers were injured in a bus accident in Ghansikuwa-5 of Tanahun on Friday.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 5149) was en route to Muglin from Dhamauli when it was hit by another bus (Na 4 Kha 7338) coming from the opposite direction at a turn along a downward road in Ghasi Kuwa.

According to DSP Surendra Gurung, the collision left total 21 passengers of both vehicles injured.

Among the injured ones, six were critical and were rushed to Pokhara for further treatment whereas the passengers with minor bruises are being treated at the Ratna Hari Hospital, Damauli.

The driver of the second bus (Na 4 Kha 7338) was also among the injured.

Police have taken the driver of another bus under custody for further investigation.
