DAMAULI: An elderly man got severely injured after being attacked with a sharp weapon in Baun village of Byas Municipality-12, Tanahun on Friday.

The injured has been identified as 70-year-old Ghaman Singh Pariyar of the same municipality, informed the Tanahun District Police Office.

Police said local resident 16-year-old Nabin Ale attacked Pariyar, inducing serious wounds on his chest. Pariyar was inside own house when the incident occurred, police added.

Pariyar was rushed to the Damauli Hospital for primary treatment. He has been referred to the Manipal Hospital in Pokhara for further treatment, police informed.

Police have arrested Ale for investigation.
