BHOJPUR: An elderly person died after falling off a cliff in Khanidanda of Taplejung district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Santa Bahadur Gurung (85) of Niguradin VDC-4 in the district.

He had fallen off the cliff while returning from a meeting with his brother in the same VDC on Wednesday night.

The Niguradin Police Post said the body was recovered around 9 am today.

Local police are investigating into the case.
