BHOJPUR: An elderly man lost his life in a jungle of Khokling VDC-2 in Taplejung district after being crushed by a falling tree on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Sherpa (77).

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, Sherpa was crushed to death on the spot by the same tree which he was chopping to set the hornet hive on fire.

Police deployed from the Khokling Police Post conducted the preliminary investigation, said police.
