Tarai agitation victims being treated in Delhi
New Delhi, August 25:
Six persons injured during the Tarai agitation are undergoing treatment in the
Mohindar Hospital in New Delhi and two of them are reported to be in a critical condition.
Balram Tiwari who arrived here to help the injured said, “All the injured people are from poor economic background and they can no longer earn their livelihood through physical labour.”
“The government has to think on how they can be supported,” he said. “The government of India is providing free medical service to them as per the agreement between the Nepali government and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF),” he said.
Ram Shrish, Rajesh Shah, Jitendra Shah, Bhim Kusbaha, Mohatab Miya and Lorik Paswan have sustained injuries on their legs and they can no longer live normal lives. “The condition of many people injured during the Tarai agitation is critical and they badly need treatment,” said Tiwari.
