Teams to visit diarrhoea-hit Mid-West

LALITPUR: Nearly after three months the deadly diarrhoea inflicted colossal loss of lives in the

Mid-Western districts, the government has decided to send its teams to look into the reason behind the spread of

diarrhoea and the

food distributed

under World Food Programme (WFP).

According to the

Ministry of Local Development (MoLD) officials, three separate teams are leaving for the diarrhoea affected districts tomorrow.

The teams are scheduled to visit Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Nepalgunj, Salyan and Achham districts. “The teams will look into the causes of diarrhoea and quality of the foodstuffs the locals consumed, among others,” said Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, spokesperson for the MoLD. “The teams will complete its study within a week.”
