JHAPA: A teenager died due to snakebite in Jhapa on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Deepa Kafle (19) of Kankai Municipality-3.

Police said that Kafle was bitten by a poisonous snake while she was sleeping at her home.

She breathed her last on the way to the Snakebite Treatment Centre at Charali in Jhapa, according to Area Police Office, Birtamod.
