POKHARA: A teenage boy was found dead in Majuwa of Lekhanath Municipality of Kaski on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Bishwas Thapa (18), a permanent resident of Sukla Gandaki-1, Tanahun, according to DSP Gajushiddhi Bajracharya of the Kaski District Police Office.

Thapa had critical injuries on his head and body suggesting that he might have been murdered, the police official added.

According to locals, Thapa had participated in a seven-a-side football tournament organised by a local club and had a quarrel with his opponents an hour before he was found dead.

The deceased's kin have claimed that he was murdered and have demanded immediate action against the suspect.

Police have arrested two boys in connection to the alleged murder and have started investigation into the case.
