Teen found murdered in Pokhara

POKHARA: A teenager was found murdered in Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 of Kaski district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sachin Sinjali, 14-year-old son of Sunita Sinjali, permanent resident of Palpa district, currently residing in Lakeside of Pokhara.

According to police, Sachin was found dead with deep injuries on his neck in an under-construction house at Hallanchok in Lakeside today morning.

Police have arrested three persons in suspicion of their involvement in the murder, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nabin Karki at Baidam-based Ward Police Office while adding that the involved person will soon be identified.

Police, after the preliminary investigation, suspect that the boy could have been struck with some sharp weapon on his neck, causing the death.

Body of the deceased has been kept at Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara for postmortem.

It has been learnt that Sachin had been living alone with his mother in Lakeside after his father left them 12 years ago.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindraman Gurung, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kaski.
