KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) issued a press statement on Wednesday clarifying that government has not fixed temporary capitals of the provinces.

According to the statement, the government vis-à-vis Sub article 3 of the Article 288 of the Constitution has not yet fixed operational areas for carrying out works of provincial government.

The OPMCM issued the statement after reports stating that government has decided temporary capitals for seven provinces drew its attention.
