KATHMANDU, MAY 30

Thailand has extended additional medical support to Nepal Government to manage the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

Ambassador of Thailand Vosita Vorasaph handed over emergency medical supplies that arrived today to Minister for Health and Population Mr Hridayesh Tripathi in a bid to help the country fight the escalating crisis, at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today.

The medical items including surgical masks, PPE sets, face shields, rapid antigen test kits, and fingertip pulse oximeters, among others were handed over.

"Medical aid has been provided by King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana and Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradevyavati of Thailand", stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On May 28, the MoFA of Thailand, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, the Thai Overseas Dhammaduta Bhikkhus to India-Nepal, the Royal Thai Monastery Lumbini, and the Verapuchong Foundation, had provided 46 oxygen concentrators to Nepal.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha were also present at TIA.

With foreign aid pouring in for Nepal as it grapples with a raging second wave of the pandemic, the Government of Nepal in a press release, thanked the Royal family for their support.​
