Thieves invade Pokhara ward office, run off with tech equipment

POKHARA: A gang of thieves broke into the Parsyang ward office in Pokhara Metropolis-5 on Wednesday night and ran off with computers and other equipment, officials inform.

According to Ward Chair Dhan Bahadur Nepali,  four desktop monitors, one laptop and two CPUs are missing from the office.

The burglary comes after only few months since the office was handed over the equipment in a bid to make the service delivery process tech-friendly.

Informing of other burglary incident of similar nature in the town, the ward chair suggested that a same gang of thieves was executing such burglaries.

“We have informed the law enforcement officers and also furnished them with available CCTV footage,” Nepali said.

Meanwhile, police officials have initiated an investigation into the matter.
