Thousands visit Badimalika Temple on Janai Purnima day

BAJURA: Thousands of devotees have thronged the Badimalika Temple located in Bajura district, on the occasion of Janai Purnima festival, on Thursday.

As every year, this year too, thousands of devotees have thronged the site, one of the important religious and touristic destinations of Far-Western Development Region, since Wednesday, a day before the annual Hindu festival.

According to the Badimalika Fair Management Committee, the turnout of devotees this year has outnumbered that of the previous years.

It is believed that the Badimalika Bhagawati will fulfill desires and wishes of its devotees.

Meanwhile, dozens of religious tourists from different states of India have also thronged the place.

According to Bajura's Chief District Officer, Bhoj Raj Shrestha, security personnel from Kalikot district with those of the district have been mobilised to ensure peace and order in the festival considering the high number of visitors.
