Three arrested with 360kg hashish from Gajuri Bazaar

DHADING: Police arrested three persons and confiscated 360-kilo grams  of hashish from Gajuri Bazaar along the Prithvi Highway of Dhading district on Sunday morning.

Police have identified the arrestees as Indian nationals, Om Prakash of Uttar Pradesh and vehicle driver Gulaf Khan of Motihari district, both in India. The identity of third arrestee is yet to be known.

According to police, a team deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police (NCB), arrested the trio while they were transporting the drugs loaded in a container truck (SR 55 M 9484) from Kathmandu to India during a security check at Gajuri Bazaar.

This is the largest quantity of drugs confiscated this year, police informed.

Gajuri Area Police Office has detained the duo and impounded the truck for further investigation, police said.

Earlier on January 3, NCB and Dhading police had arrested two Indian nationals along with 213-kilo grams of Hashish from Gajuri itself.
