BIRGUNJ: Three persons including two women were arrested in possession of eight kilogram hashish from BIrgunj of Parsa on Monday.

Police claimed they were smuggling the illegal drug loading it on a three-wheeler (Na 1 Ha 1049) to India via Raxaul border point.

The suspects include Jayana Khatun from Jitpur of Bara, Roshan Jaha Khatun from Sukhkha Jabdi of Parsa and Raj Kumar Sah from Raxaul of India.

Sah was driving the vehicle.

A police team with two sniffer dogs deployed from the Inarwa Police Post had nabbed them in front of the Police Post.

Parsa District Police Office spokesperson DSP Bir Bahadur Oli said further investigation is underway.
