Three held with leopard skin
POKHARA: A team of sleuths deployed from Central Investigation Bureau, Gandaki State Police Investigation Division and District Forest Office, Kaski has arrested three persons in possession of two sets of leopard skin from Annapurna Marga in Pokhara on Friday.
The police, acting on a tip-off that the arrestees were searching for buyers of leopard skin, arrested Gyanendra Century (23), Debendra Rasaili (23) and Jhalak Chantyal (25) of Tamang Khola in Baglung.
The arrestees have been sent to District Forest Office, Kaski for further investigation and action.
According to District Forest Officer, Kedar Baral, the three felons will be charged under National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act,1973.
