Three hurt as landslide buries house in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolis

POKHARA: As many as three persons of a family were injured after a landslide buried the house they were living in at Baraldanda in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-26 on on Thursday night.

The injured have been identified as Bir Bahadur Lama (27), his wife Jamuna Lama (26) and their two-month-old son Anjan Lama, all the permanent residents of Kanyam Municipality in Ilam District, currently residing in the metropolis as labourer.

The landslide hit the cinder block house belonging to Kuldeep Baral injuring Lama family at around 1:30 am today, according to police. They were injured after the landslide debris buried the house they were living in, reducing it to rubble.

The Locals rescued the Lama family the same night and rushed them to the Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the injured are said to be out of danger.
