DANG: Three persons of a single family were seriously injured when lightning struck them at Pipari, Sisahaniya-4 in Dang district today.

The 52-year-old Jeet Bahadur Chaudhary and his sons Lahanu and Govardhan were injured in the incident.

The thunderbolt struck them when they were taking shelter at the house of Chhedu Chaudhary after it suddenly started raining while they were working in the field, the District Police Office stated.

Govardan and Lahanu are in serious condition, it is learned. The lightning also caused some damage to the house.

The injured have been taken to Butwal after primary treatment at the local health centre at Lamahi.
