Three killed, 18 hurt

DHADING: Three persons were killed and 18 injured when three vehicles met with an accident in Chitrang of Jogimara VDC in Dhading along the Prithvi highway on Saturday afternoon. A truck, a car and a motorcycle collided with each other at around 2 pm trying to overtake each other, the police said, adding that all the three vehicles were heading towards Mugling from Kathmandu. Car driver Bishnu Acharya of Kathmandu, Lainchaur, its passenger lawyer Yogananda Sapkota and a passenger of the truck, Ambar Paswan of Bara, Jitpur, were killed in the accident, Dhading district police office said. The injured were sent to Kathmandu for further treatment after receiving first aid in Malekhu highway community hospital.
