KHAJURA, BANKE: Three children died after a house they were in collapsed due to incessant rainfall in Banke district on Friday night.

The house belonging to Kami Lal Tharu in Raptisonari Rural Municipality-4 collapsed, killing three children last night, according to Superintendent of Police in Banke Tek Bahadur Tamang.

The identity of the deceased are yet to be established, said police.

Several villages in the rural municipality have been inundated and the the damages caused are yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, the rescue and relief efforts have been hampered due to adverse weather conditions, said SP Tamang.
