Three killed in separate incidents in Jhapa, Ilam

SURUNGA, JHAPA: An Indian national died after a motorcycle knocked him at Jhiljhile road section of the East-West Highway in Shivasatakshi Municipality of Jhapa district on Monday.

Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Mohammad Sahani of India who had been working at Sameer Garage in Jhiljhile.

The motorcycle (Me 5 Pa 6809) heading in an eastward direction knocked down Sahani critically injuring him at Jhiljhile yesterday, according to police.

The injured was taken to the Birtamod-based B & C Medical College Teaching Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

In a separate incident, 40-year-old Senkuwa Rajbanshi of Bahradashi Rural Municipality-6 died after his motorcycle ran out of control and overturned on Monday night.

The accident took place when Rajbanshi was riding (Ko 29 Pa 4469) towards home from Birtamod yesterday, said police. He was taken to the B & C Medical College Teaching Hospital where he died.

Likewise, a 10-year-old boy was killed when a door at the Janajyoti Lower Secondary School fell down on him, in Damak of Jhapa district.

Police said Rijan Limbu of Chulachuli Rural Municipality-3 in Ilam district, was playing on the premises of the school when suddenly a door fell on him killing him instantaneously, informed police.
