DHANGADHI: Three persons were killed in two separate motorcycle accidents in Tikapur Municipality of Kailali district on Sunday night.

The motorcycle (Lu 73 Pa 1990) collided with a bullock cart killing pillion riders and injuring motorcyclist, at Khairipur in Tikapur-7 at around 10:30 pm yesterday.

The deceased have been identified as Diva Nanda Koirala (38) and Bishnu Rimal (27) and the injured as Pawan Pandey (18), all local residents of Baidi in Tikapur-7.

Meanwhile, critically injured Pandey has been receiving treatment at Kohalpur Medical College, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Bhanu Bajagain at Tikapur-based Area Police Office confirmed.

Likewise, in a separate incident, motorcyclist died while pillion rider sustained injuries after the motorcycle (Se 6 Pa) they were riding on rear-ended the trolley of a stationary tractor at Bandipur, in Tikapur Municipality-2 at around 8:30 pm yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Ashish Chaudhary (24) of Tikapur-4.

Chaudhary breathed his last on the way to Kohalpur Hospital, police confirmed. However, pillion rider Mahendra Chaudhary (23) is being treated at the hospital.
