KATHMANDU: A person died after the tractor he was driving went out of control and skidded off the road in Korchabang VDC-5 of Rolpa district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as the tractor driver Aaite Singh BK (22) of Kotgaun VDC-7 in the district.

The tractor (Na 3 Ta 6988) heading for Madi Chaur went out of control and fell off the road some 50 metres, injuring Singh at Simkhet, at around 6:00 pm yesterday, said police.

Critically injured Singh breathed his last on the way to a hospital in Nepalgunj, informed police.

Meanwhile, the body of deceased has been kept at the Banke District Hospital in Nepalgunj for postmortem.

The assistant driver remained unscathed, according to the police.
