Traders shut Attariya bazaar
The municipality has filed a case against eight traders

Local traders today shut Attariya bazaar to protest the arrest of three persons, including Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Attariya Chapter, in Kailali.
Traders had enforced the shutdown of Attariya bazaar to protest the arrest of FNCCI Attariya Chair Ashokraj Devkota, member Bipin Saud and trader Dinesh Bista from a press conference.
Market places, and transport service pulled down their shutters hitting life hard.
FNCCI Attariya Chapter General Secretary Yagyaraj Joshi said that traders had pulled down their shutters spontaneously to protest police action.
Police had arrested them in a case filed by Godawari Municipality on a public offence charge. The municipality has filed a case against eight traders including the chairman.
Traders had staged the protest after they were barred from putting their views along with their demands at the Municipal Assembly meeting nine days ago.
The municipality had filed case against some traders, including the Attariya FNCCI chair, on the charge of trying to obstruct the municipal assembly meeting.
The FNCI Attariya had organised a press meet at its office in Attariya today morning. Police from Malakheti Area Police Office had arrested them from the press conference site today itself.
