Transportation system be made further effective, ensures DPM Gachhadar
KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bijay Kumar Gachhadar ensured that the government had taken steps to render an effective transportation service to public.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the annual evaluation seminar of the Department of Transport Management at Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchowk on Friday, DPM Gachhadar shared that a new action-plan was soon to be introduced to further manage the transport service.
Gachhadar argued that the replacement of old Acts, rules and regulations with new ones regarding the same would help the Department provide prompt and effective services.
He instructed the concerned authority towards facilitating service-seekers in an efficient manner. "It is imperative that the staff be on their toes to offer services to the service-seekers in the changed political set up," Gachhadar asserted.
On the occasion, Chandraman Shrestha, the Director General of the Department assured the participants that the Department would endeavour to address the issues raised in the seminar.
