Travellers distressed due to pitiful state of Hile-Pakhribas-Leguwa road

BHOJPUR: Travellers from Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha districts have been in a fix due to the lamentable state of Hile-Pakhribas-Leguwa road section in Dhankuta district.

The under construction road section from Hile to Leguwa has been affected due to the monsoon rains, creating muddy puddles in which vehicles get stuck. Due to this, passengers are forced to get off the vehicles and carry on with their journey afoot for some distance, according to a passenger Dinesh Thapa.

Likewise, Bhojpur denizen Sanjeev Karki attributes the pitiful condition of the road to authorities not paying attention to road construction works during dry seasons and then starting such work with urgency when monsoon begins.

The Leguwa-Tumlingtar road section is also in a similar state.

According to locals, the monsoon-construction of roads has put the travellers in much difficulty.

They further lamented that those who had approached them during elections with the 'agenda' of making the road that connects Sankhuwasabha operational all year round, have not displayed any kind of interest in seeing through their commitment now.
