Treatment of patients affected in Jajarkot
Jajarkot, August 8
Patients in serious condition in some six local bodies of Jajarkot are suffering due to the lack of ambulance.
Nalgad and Chhedagadm Municipalities and Barekot, Kushe, Junichande and Shivalaya rural municipalities lack ambulances. This has created problems when patients have to be rushed to the hospital for treatment during emergency.
“Though the road network has touched almost each and every nook and cranny of the municipality, patients are losing lives for want of an ambulance that makes timely treatment possible,” said Nara Bahadur Khatri, a local of Chhedagad Municipality.
According to Chhedagad Municipality Chief Administrative Officer Jhalak KC, the municipality is all set to start purchasing ambulance in a few months.
“We had decided to purchase ambulance earlier, but though we had called for a tender last year, the process was stopped due to some reason. We will start the process now,” said KC.
Similarly, Shivalaya Rural Municipality has also informed that the rural municipality had already decided to purchase the emergency vehicle. “We will procure the vehicle this year itself,” said the rural municipality Chairperson Narendra Shahi.
While Junichande Rural Municipality Chairperson Krishna KC informed about their plan to purchase the vehicle after completing expansion of the road network, Kushe Rural Municipality informed about its request to the centre and the provincial government for the purchase of ambulance.
