Treatment of scrub typhus to be free at Chitwan hospitals
CHITWAN: The treatment of scrub typhus would now be cost-free at governmental hospitals of Chitwan after 200 treatment kits were made available to the Bharatpur Hospital by Epidemiology and Communicable Disease Control Division.
Information Officer Narhari Sharma of the Chitwan Public Health Office informed about the facility today.
The district had recorded the first case of scrub typhus this year.
Hospital Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Rudra Marasini has also assured that the treatment would be free with the kits they had received.
