KATHMANDU: Earthquake tremors were felt in some districts in the eastern part of the country at 10:35 am today.

The tremors of the earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale with its epicentre in Assam area of northeast India were felt in Nepal also, said Lok Bijaya Adhikari, Chief of the National Seismological Centre of the Department of Mines and Geology.

So far no reports of damage and casualty have been reported as it was a minor tremor, the Centre stated.
