Kathmandu, January 28:

The Martyrs’ Week Main organising Committee 2006 today paid tribute to martyrs Dasharath Chand and Gangalal Shrestha at Shova Bhagawati, where they were executed on this very day 65 years ago.

“Be inspired by the martyrs and follow their path to pay real tribute to them,” said convenor of the Main Organising Committee and chief executive officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Padma Raj Regmi. During the function, Surrendra Bir Malakar of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Dirgha Bahadur Chand, nephew of martyr Dasharath Chand, hailed the contribution of martyrs in the country’s democratic movement. Regmi, relatives of martyrs and locals also paid tribute to the martyrs.
